Medical Services in Listowel
Supporting Health and Wellbeing
Listowel Community Centre is dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of our community by providing access to vital medical services, promoting health awareness and ensuring emergency response resources are readily available. We aim to create a safe, inclusive and responsive environment where individuals and families can feel confident in the support systems available to them – whether it’s providing information to access to local healthcare providers and after-hours care or life-saving equipment on-site.
On-Site Defibrillators
Listowel Community Centre is equipped with two defibrillators for emergency use, ensuring that lifesaving equipment is available and accessible in the event of a sudden cardiac emergency.
One defibrillator is located outside the building, to the right of the main entrance and is accessible to the public 24 hours a day. The second unit is kept inside the admin office and is available for use during the centre’s operating hours. These devices are designed for ease of use – even by individuals without medical training, and can significantly increase a person’s chance of survival when used promptly.
Trained staff are also available on-site to provide assistance with first aid and the use of the defibrillators. The safety and wellbeing of all visitors, staff and community members is a top priority at Listowel Community Centre.
