At Listowel Community Centre, we believe that strong communities are built by dedicated individuals who go the extra mile. Each month, we proudly recognise one outstanding person as our Champion of the Month – one champion for the centre and another champion for BASE Gym – someone who embodies community spirit, kindness and commitment.
This initiative highlights members, volunteers, staff or local residents who have made a meaningful impact in our centre or the wider Listowel community. Whether it’s lending a helping hand, smashing fitness goals, consistently attending activities, organising activities or simply brightening someone’s day, every act counts.
This Month’s LCC Champion
Padraig Zumba – July 2026
Congratulations to Padraig, our Listowel Community Centre Champion of the Month for July.
As a Zumba instructor at Listowel Community Centre, Padraig plays an important role in helping people of all ages and abilities improve their flexibility and fitness levels. Through his enthusiasm, encouragement and commitment, he has created a welcoming environment where Zumba enthusiasts develop their skills, build confidence and connect with others in a fun environment. We sincerely thank Padraig for his continued dedication and positive contribution to our community.

This Month’s BASE Gym Champion
Séan White – August 2026
This month, we are thrilled to recognise Séan White as our BASE Champion of the Month!
Séan’s commitment, positivity and consistency have been outstanding. He brings an infectious energy to every session, working diligently one-to-one with Pádraic to achieve his fitness goals. Séan is also a valued member of the Kerry Parents & Friends group, regularly attending the inclusive classes led by Abbie. His dedication inspires us all and perfectly embodies the inclusive spirit of the BASE community. Sean proves that fitness is for everyone, and his progress is a testament to what can be achieved with hard work and the right support. Keep up the fantastic work, Séan – we’re all incredibly proud of you! Please join us in congratulating Séan on being our August Champion of the Month!
