Listowel Community Centre is a place that is welcoming, accessible, inclusive and affordable to all population groups. Our vision is to become a regional centre of excellence to promote recreation, sport, mental and physical well-being for all in the community – a centre which keeps community development at the heart of its ethos, embellishing the spirit of social entrepreneurship. Staff, management, the Board of Directors and members can work together with a shared vision in a workplace that all stakeholders can enjoy, grow and develop.

THE RUMBLE IN LISTOWEL

A night where family, community, sport and fundraising join forces to support a young Listowel toddler!

The White Collar Boxing event takes place on 7th September 2024.

After 10 years – we go again, all in aid of 2 year old Axel Horgan., in conjunction with Trojan Boxing Club and Listowel Community Centre.

KERRY MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING FEST 2024

Kerry Mental Health & Wellbeing FEST 2024 takes place between Saturday, 5th – 12th October 2024. The Fest aims to raise awareness of the available supports and services in the county as well as empower people to engage with the ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’ through offering a dynamic and interactive programme of events. EXCITING PLANS AT LISTOWEL COMMUNITY CENTRE

Following a positive public consultation, Quinn Architects submitted a planning application to Kerry County Council for restoration to part of Listowel Community Centre’s building and an exciting new extension. The centre was hit by a fire in November 2022 which caused extensive damage to part of the building that significantly impacted services the centre offers to enhance community development. The impressive plans provide state of the art design that will redefine the skyline, scheduled to be completed in 2026.

Our team is looking forward to a brighter future on this exciting development and making a strong comeback to provide enhanced and expanded facilities for Listowel town whilst connecting the centre with the Limerick-Kerry Greenway. Our community has been actively engaged throughout the process via various channels which has been an integral part of the process.

This restorative, new project aims to revitalise and modernise our centre, to provide a better service whilst meeting the evolving needs of our community. The building plans incorporate brand new rooms including physical therapy, wellness and sensory rooms, meeting rooms, a BASE recovery area and BASE studio. The vision is to reimagine and rebuild – the future at Listowel Community Centre is bright and promising!
